In order to rank 1,286 small cities in the U.S. between 25,000 and 100,000 residents, the analysts at WalletHub used a detailed methodology including 22 different metrics. The four categories of metrics were affordability, economic health, education/health, and quality of life. The scores of each category were determined and then each city was given an overall score, where Ashburn, VA ranked #13 on the list.
